Next morning, Lawrence drove us to Gold Coast. During the 2 hours drive, we listened to Jim O'Rourke.
Lawrenceもまた、快活でよく喋る人です。Willの「レーベルを上手くやっていくにはどうしたらいいか？」の質問に、１時間くらい延々と喋っていました。すごく刺激になる話をいっぱい聞いた。それにしても本当にバイタリティ溢れる人。そしてサービス精神。また一段と、尊敬の念が私の中で静かにふくらむ。
Lawrence is very cheerful person and he talks a lot. We were able to hear about his ideas on future of music industry. It was very interesting and inspiring. I respect his vitality and generosity.
ビーチ！ゴールドコーストには近代的なデザインの面白い建物がたくさんありました。アメリカでいうとフロリダみたいな場所だそう。
WillとLawrence。あまりビーチっぽくない二人です。なんとなく。
There were many modern design architectures in Gold Coast. Lawrence said Gold Coast is like Australian Florida.
Will and Lawrence, they don't look like beachy people.
みんなでビーチをてくてく。水は透明なのに、青く見えるのって不思議。ところどころ青色が違って見える所は、珊瑚礁だろうか。波のよせては返す、の動きが大きい気がして、もしかして満月が近いから？
We walked on the beach. I wondered, the water is transparent, why then the ocean look so blue. The move of wave was so dynamic. I just noticed it's almost full moon.
海に向かって今にも走り出しそうなオオルタイチ氏。
Oorutaichi looked like running into the ocean.
これが会場となるギャラリー。
This is our venue.
ギャラリーの前にある広場で、私たちはヘッドフォン・ショーをやったのです。観客にはワイヤレスのヘッドフォンを着けてもらって、そこから音を聞いてもらいます。ヘッドフォンを着けて居ない人には生音しか聞こえません。面白い！
We did a headphone show in an open space in front of the gallery. The audience put on wireless headphone to listen to our performance. You can't hear anything without the headphone, interesting!
サウンドチェックをしていたら可愛い男の子が寄ってきました。Ytamoさんのキーボードに興味津々。一緒に演奏に参加してくれたら面白かったのにナ。
A boy with Ytamo. He was interested in our instruments. He could have joined our performance!
一番目のYtamoさんのPCにトラブルがあり、急遽、鉄琴と歌のパフォーマンスに。これが素晴らしかった！即興で歌声をプロセッシングしていくタイチさん。才能溢れる二人。
Because of some PC trouble, Ytamo switched to voice improvisation performance. Oorutaichi was processing her voice too. This was awesome!
ヘッドフォンで聴くOorutaichiもまた良かった。

私達はまたCeler/Mikoのデュエットで。このショーの為にトラックを準備してきました。私がアコースティック楽器を演奏して録音した曲をCelerが加工したものをベースに、さらにリアルタイムで声や色んな音を重ねて演奏しました。けっこういい感じにできたと思う。
通りすがりの観光客風の人々も、何人か立ち寄ってくれた。このヘッドフォン・ショー、日本でもやりたいねとみんなで話しました。
音が出ないので場所を選ばずできそうだし、こんな風に風景にとけ込んで演奏するというのは気持ちがいい。ギャラリーの人たちがまた、すごく喜んでくれて嬉しかった。
We did Celer/Miko duet again. We prepared a special track for this show. I recorded an acoustic music and Celer added many processing to it. We added more sounds in real time. I played many toy instruments. Some tourists peopled dropped by to hear our music. It was kind of weird but so fun. I thought we should do this in Japan too. We can play anywhere because it's quiet. It's fun to play in the open air too. I was so glad that staffs of the gallery looked happy.
ショーが終わりブリズベンへ帰る途中、Lawrenceが海岸沿いの国立公園に連れていってくれました。ゴールドコーストの摩天楼がピンクの夕焼けに浮かびます。
After the show, Lawrence took us to a National park on the coast. We saw the beautiful skyscraper of Gold Coast under the pink sky.
次の日が満月でした。あの月明かりの下をぷかぷか浮かびたい。放っておくといつまでも眺めていそうなので、引き上げて車に戻ることに。
It was the day before full moon. I wanted to float under the moonlight in the sea. It was so beautiful. We could have stayed there all night.
お疲れディナーはオージービーフのステーキ。ステーキなんて普段はほとんど食べませんが、旅先ではその土地の食を体験するのは大事だって思うのでありがたくいただく。ショーを終えてみんなで食べる食事、おいしかった。
Our dinner was Aussie beef stake. I don't eat beef very often, but I think it's a good thing to experience local food when you travel. It was fun.
今日でオオルタイチ＆ウタモさんとはお別れ。彼らとツアーできたのは本当に素晴らしかった。そしてLawrenceともお別れ。「翌朝のメルボルンへの便が朝早いため、どうやって空港に行ったらいいか」と私が言い終わらないうちに、タクシー会社に即電話、しかもホテルの住所は暗記している。できる男！その敏腕ホスト、オーガナイザーぶりを目の当たりにして、ものすごく勉強になった。私にできることをもっと真剣に考えようと思った。それは、音楽を通じてできることだけど、縁があって出会った人々や、身近な人たちをハッピーにしたり、自分が楽しくハッピーになったりすることから始まること。本当に、私ごときを招いてくれて、ありがとうございました。感謝。
It's time to say goodbye to Oorutaichi and Ytamo. It was so great to tour with them. I had to say goodbye to Lawrence too. He is such a great host and organizer. He is a great musician too, but he is spending more time and effort for people. I thought about what I can do through music. The important thing is, it has to be connected to making your friends happy, making yourself happy. Thank you so much Lawrence!
